Senior Specialist, In-house Creative Studios, Medical Legal Review (MLR) Center of Excellence Lead (Remote)

Our Company's Creative Studios, the in-house advertising agency, provides global and US support for internal and external marketing and communication needs. A full-service agency with digital, video, and print capabilities supporting multiple brands and divisions within our Company's and across external agency partners. The promotional review process is at the center of all external marketing collateral. This person will work to enforce and optimize the agency’s promotional submission process for the Human Health work that comes through the agency, including work with the agile teams. They have a proven track record and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory process and will collaborate with agency Account leads on process improvements.

Position Description:

The Senior Specialist – Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) Center of Excellence Lead will work to enforce and optimize the agency’s promotional submission process for the Human Health work that comes through the agency, including work with the agile teams. They have a proven track record and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory process and will collaborate with agency Account leads on process improvements.

This position is location agnostic.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of the PromoMats and MLR approval process, from initial submission, review, binder preparation, to final approval for distribution.

• Serves as a gatekeeper and coordinates all agency MLR activities to ensure efficiency and quality.

• Able to assess talent and provide necessary training to fill knowledge gaps. Provide team with real time guidance on submission process.

• Will service multiple divisions at our Company, including Global & US Human Health (across multiple therapeutic areas including HIV, Vaccines, Antibiotics, and Oncology), including agile teams, as well as Global Communications

• Escalates issues quickly.

• Takes ownership of high-profile projects and leads the team.

• Acts as a mentor to all Editors and Content Stewards working across the agency.

• Conducts quality checks and trains team members and new hires on process, platforms, tools and establishes best practices.

• Encourages a positive, nurturing, and professional culture that values and is committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

• Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new team members

• Reviews and vets potential new hires to ensure they are qualified for the Content Steward role.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BSc or BA), preferably in a scientific or health-related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education and experience stated.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 6+ years working in pharmaceutical promo review

• Strong understanding of industry practice, scientific principles, and regulatory/quality systems in the drug development process

• Expert level experience with Veeva PromoMats

• Expert ability to train and provide continuous improvement to employees

• Demonstrated project management skills, attention to detail and ability to set and meet timelines

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to generate proposed alternative solutions

• Editorial skills are a plus (copy editing, referencing, fact checking, proofreading, and maintaining consistent styles across multiple brands)

• Ability to communicate effectively in team and cross-functional setting

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proactive and self-starter

• Ability to work in a team environment but can function equally well independently

• Proficiency with MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
