Senior Project Coordinator Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of a Project Coordinator include working closely with the Head / Therapeutic Area Head of Project Management, providing administrative and project coordination support for that Leader as well as a group of project managers.

The candidate will be asked to perform diverse administrative duties in support of project teams and governance committees including heavy calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination (internal and external), arranging video-, tele- conferences as necessary for these various meetings; making travel arrangements (domestic and international), processing expense reports; completing independent project work and maintaining Share Point sites for various project teams.

The candidate must be detail-oriented, work with minimal supervision, have an ability to multitask and balance priorities, all through the utilization of strong organizational skills, strong initiative, and commitment to follow-up.

The candidate must be a positive, proactive team player with ability to build relationships across the administrative/project coordination group within Research & Development Strategy and Planning and across the organization. The candidate must be willing to coordinate and provide back up support for other administrative assistants/project coordinators within the department.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years administrative or related experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and the capability to produce excellent work with minimal supervision are required.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail and follow-up skills are a requirement for this position.
  • Proven skills in prioritizing competing demands and requests by taking initiative to adjust or change priorities and communicate issues to those providing support for.
  • Ability to adapt to change and remain focused in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interface in a professional manner with high level contacts, handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate diplomacy and good judgment in dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Ability to coordinate/provide back-up support for other administrative/project coordinators within the department.
  • Positive attitude, be proactive and will have a high level of professional integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as be able to learn & utilize current BMS systems for T&E reporting and other responsibilities.
  • Successful candidate must be able to learn new tools and systems in an ever-evolving environment.
