Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a HR Supervisor. This role is located at our Greenwood, SC facility. Relocation offered to candidates residing outside 50 miles of the facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Our HR Supervisor will plan, develop, & administer a variety of major human resources management programs for the company including employment, wage & salary administration, employee communications, employee training and staff development, benefits & other related human resources activities; coordinate & monitor activities to ensure compliance of programs with all applicable state & federal laws, regulations & guidelines as well as conforming with Eaton corporate human resources management policies and procedures.

What you’ll do:

  • Support managers and supervisors in the hiring of salaried and hourly employees, including the internal promotion and transfer procedures. Coordinate recruitment efforts with the Eaton Talent Acquisition Center. Monitor employment for contingent personnel.
  • Manage HR Generalist and HR Development Program participant with day-to-day direction, coaching, and mentorship
  • Provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues; investigate and resolve ER claims.
  • Support compensation and benefits: salary administration, proposing merit adjustments, developing range recommendations, assisting with wage surveys and communications, and helping employees with benefits questions and escalations.
  • Assist in planning, developing and administering Training and Development programs using Performance Mgt Tools, annual survey and certification/standard.
  • Coordinate services, general communication & provide advice & information to employees on benefit programs and coordinate corporate policies/procedures.
  • Engage, guide and direct all employee involvement in community events.
  • Engage in pro-active employee strategies and initiatives; Drive activities to promote engagement with employees
  • Plan & conduct plant tours for visitors and conduct other programs related to civic organizations and local educational institutions.
  • Maintain & administer facility promotional procedures, payroll changes, and performance reviews.
  • Provide confidential employee counseling to assist employees or refer to care agencies; maintain all aspects of a strong and positive employee relations environment.
  • Assist H.R. Manager and department managers with writing/reviewing of job descriptions.
  • Assist on special projects, including support of ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits; lead or co-lead employee engagement; lead Pay for Skills Program; participate in safety and operations audits and initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor local policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness among employees. Update employee guidebook, administer and communicate corporate and divisional policies, and assist supervisors in applying policies to ensure accountability and high performance.
  • Serve as a member of the Greenwood PDCA Extended Staff team

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of human resources generalist experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and within the future without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, MBA, or Industrial Organizational Psychology
  • Three (3) years of human resources generalist experience
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills:

  • Knowledge of state and federal employment and EEO laws, employee benefits administration, salary administration concepts and policies, employee relations, communications and recruitment and selection.
  • Customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills, including positive interviewing and counseling skills and techniques.
  • Must have a high degree of resourcefulness, tact, and persuasiveness needed in handling employee concerns and in dealing effectively with management and employees to resolve employment-related issues.
