With a strong medicines pipeline our current trans-formation will not just deliver growth for our business but continue to allow us to bring innovative medicines to patients quickly.<br><br>The Associate Director of Information Architect Software Development will be responsible for designing and developing information domain models expressed as knowledge graphs and linked meta-data schemas. These will be applied to the Real-World Data (RWE), including Electronic Health Records and Insurance Claims, problem domain. This role will help lead the information products and applications initiatives.<br><br>The information architect will work with Data Engineers, Product teams and other business stakeholders in modeling the complex RWE domain space. This individual will also help drive our linked data and data mining strategy, both internally and externally, in order to improve the search and semantic enrichment of RWE Information products.<br><br>The RWE & MI information products and applications team support the strategic initiatives of HEOR, PHAM and Medical teams to build information products (that utilize epidemiology, health economics, statistics, and machine learning) and solutions focused on improving clinical care delivery and population health. This includes utilizing large licensed Real World Data Novartis assets and data available through co-development initiatives with health systems.<br><br><br><b>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: </b> <br>• Develop and Apply the Data Model Framework– Develop and implement ontologies, data architecture and data management techniques in collaboration with stakeholders. Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using tools capable of metadata management, ontology management, and semantic enrichment<br>• Data Integration and Mapping - Contribute to data integration and mapping efforts to harmonize taxonomy from multiple domains and incorporate metadata into topical, named entity, and RWE domain ontologies<br>• Provide Data Model Leadership - Influence and participate with governance bodies to standardize data models. Re-search and provide solutions for complex problems. Be aware and evaluate of industry developments related to ontology use, knowledge organization.<br>• Software Development - Provide prototypical quick solution designs and hands-on programming models and drive them to maturity in the RWE & MI agile product development lifecycle. Research and provide solutions for complex problems.<br>• Team Leadership in Software Practice – Provide software leadership and support and mentor team members in soft-ware data modeling best practices. Incorporate agile development processes and environments supported by Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipelines. Apply software testing practices.<br>• Able to develop a strategic vision by integrating needs of diverse constituencies, scientific considerations and market knowledge to produce best in class results. Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in addressing strategic challenges.<br>• A world class team player with highly attuned interpersonal skills, strong team building motivational, collaboration and influencing skills necessary to achieve desired outcomes in a matrix, cross-functional environment. This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position.<br><br>This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result.
