*This is a National role and applicants must live near a metropolitan airport*<br><br>The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) Director is a field-based marketing leadership role responsible for leading and deploying a team of field-based, customer-facing TLLs - for their assigned geographic area.<br>As a functional leader, the Director will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders (eg. HCP Education Lead, Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, Congress Strategy Lead, Advocacy Lead, Compliance, etc.) to conceive, design, implement, and budget for an annual plan comprised of both strategies and tactics. The plan will deliver Thought Leader advocacy, insight gathering, congress and HCP education objectives and outcomes. The Director will lead and enable the TLL team in the execution of the tactical plan and will employ key performance indicators and analyses to ensure delivery and impact of the team. The Director will provide leadership and oversight into creation and utilization of TLL materials and resources. And the Director will create and deliver periodic business reviews to leadership.<br>As a people leader, the Director will be responsible for engaging and developing the individuals within the team. The Director will be responsible for performance management of the team and individuals including prioritization and objective setting. In addition, the Director will provide input into the design and structure of the team, including the replacement of individuals as required. The Director will develop, implement, and maintain - training requirements for the role, high scientific knowledge of the disease states and responsible products, and the platforms, technology, processes, and materials that enable the team. The Director will nurture a customer-centric culture that is focused on collaboration, execution excellence, and personal leadership and development. The Director will ensure - compliance with all applicable Novartis policies including Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulations, within a diverse and inclusive environment.<br><br>People Management and Development <br>• Manage and lead a team of 4-12 direct reports. This includes (but not limited to) recruiting / hiring, coaching, developing, assessing performance, delegation, prioritization and assisting with navigating the organization informally and formally<br>• Foster a culture of compliant collaboration, partnership, and shared accountability between the TLL team and other field-based partners (eg. Sales leadership, Medical Affairs, Account managers, etc.)<br><br>Advocacy Development<br>• Significant customer-facing time, building relationships with existing and new Thought Leaders for involvement in current and future commercial activities<br>• Conceive, design and implement advocacy development strategies and tactics, and incorporate into TLL tactical plan; coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders (eg. HCP Education Lead, Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, Congress Strategy Lead, Advocacy Lead, Compliance, etc.) in the development and implementation of the TLL tactical plan <br><br>Insight Gathering<br>• Ensure the appropriate capture, distribution, and utilization of input/feedback from TL community and market; oversee the translation (content, format, and scope) of input/feedback into insights to inform commercial strategy, tactics and decisions<br>• Direct the conception, development and MAP approval of materials required for insight gathering (eg. discussion guide, survey, questionnaire, etc.); ensure utilization of approved materials for insight gathering and sharing objectives<br><br>Educational Effectiveness<br>• Translate HCP Education strategies and objectives into direction and oversight for the team regarding speaker nomination, speaker training, speaker utilization, program scheduling, best practice sharing, budget management (as required)<br>• Create and maintain a productive exchange between TLL team and HCP Education team, Innovation team and key stakeholders – to champion strategically aligned HCP educational opportunities that are of mutual interest to Novartis and Thought Leaders, and to enable customer input into content and/or program development/improvement<br><br>Conventions and Congresses <br>• Manage the collaboration and coordination of the TLL team with key stakeholders (Congress Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, etc.) for the development of the Thought Leader engagement plan (eg. schedule, assignments, biographies, objectives, etc.) with NVS leadership for assigned congresses<br>• Participate, or delegate participation, on congress steering committee; provide input and insight into educational (eg. Product theaters) and commercial activities and opportunities (eg.
