With a strong medicines pipeline our current transformation will not just deliver growth for our business but continue to allow us to bring innovative medicines to patients quickly.<br><br>Novartis is on a journey to transform to a content-centric, omni-channel marketing approach which is projected to exponentially increase our digital asset inventory rapidly. The Director, Digital Content Governance & Optimization, will become a key member of the Marketing Process, Policy and Operational Excellence Leadership Team. The successful candidate will accelerate our operational transformation by acting as a strategic business partner with a unique ability to convert commercial objectives into structured content submission strategies to support the Material Approval Process (MAP), oversee Above-Brand review, support operationalizing strategic programs, and socialization in the Novartis centralized Design System to reduce operational effort, ensure talent utilization is optimized for maximum impact, while leading a high performing team navigating a rapidly changing environment. <br><br>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br>• Team Leadership & Talent Development Lead a team of associates responsible digital content strategy and governance that designs solutions to improve content re-use, establish core messaging, and design standards to facilitate compliance, speed and agility; Ability to simplify complex concepts for senior/exec-level leadership; Exemplify Novartis Values & Behaviors.<br>• Accelerate Shift to Omnichannel Content Delivery Collaborate across MAP leadership team to evaluate business need, collect stakeholder input, and design solutions that meet the customer need in a multi-workstream environment; Provide inputs to the Training & Communications team for optimal adoption; Simplify operational complexities, challenge status quo, explore the art of the possible.<br>• Content Standards Establish and optimize digital content standards; Deliver single source of truth to organization and external agency partners on how to execute the Novartis Way; Optimize structured submission requirements for efficiency in the Material Approval Process (MAP).<br>• Governance & Prioritization Drive value to business by tailoring solutions to fit high priority use cases; Oversee department capabilities and measuring impact/utilization/effort of Core Claims, Template Governance, Strategic Programs; Demand forecasting pull through for appropriate resourcing and load balancing across Enterprise MAP teams; Institute regular optimization cycles and feedback mechanisms.<br>• Continuous Improvement Collaboratively develop, socialize, and execute action plans to improve operational effectiveness; Influence positive change on MAP-adjacent/ dependent operations<br>• KPIs Quarterly business updates on progress / barriers toward making MAP a competitive advantage through quantitative (e.g. Quality, Throughput Time, Content Re-use, Volume) and qualitative (e.g. Retrospectives, AARs) analysis.<br>• Project Management Lead projects or work streams under NGE (Next Generation Engagement); Act as subject matter expert to represent MAP Team on global and US teams.<br><br>Our selection process will prioritize US-based associates whose roles may be changing or may be impacted as a result of the Transforming for Growth reorganization. This is a US based position. Distant workers are responsible for the cost of home office expenses and periodic travel/lodging to the East Hanover site, as determined necessary by hiring manager. For associates working on-site, relocation assistance to be within 50 miles of the site may be available. This position will require 20% travel as defined by the business (domestic and or international).
