With a strong medicines pipeline our current transformation will not just deliver growth for our business but continue to allow us to bring innovative medicines to patients quickly<br><br><br>Job Purpose: <br><br>As part of the Innovative Medicines US Legal group, the Director, Product Strategy Counsel, will be responsible for providing strategic counsel to support the Innovative Medicines US business and its therapeutic areas. The Director will provide product and therapeutic/ disease area counseling to General Managers to enable key decision making and maximize impact throughout the product lifecycle while identifying and managing risk.<br><br>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br><br>• Serve as product, disease/ therapeutic area legal business partners, providing legal advice and strategic guidance on a broad set of matters in support of the Innovative Medicines US business.<br><br>• Understand and proactively provide legal analysis and advice related to new and existing product and disease area strategies on various topics including marketing plans, sales strategy, contracting issues, incentive compensation topics, review of internal and external communications, competitive advertising challenges, and meetings and conventions.<br><br>• Collaborate with other members of the Legal Product Strategy team and the broader Legal team to support planning and execution of pre-launch and launch activities for our products.<br><br>• Work with business partners to evaluate, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements.<br><br>• Stay informed regarding new laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting Novartis and assist with the development of policies and training, as needed.<br><br>• Actively contribute to the legal function by sharing best practices and participating in initiatives focused on building departmental and functional knowledge and competencies.<br><br>• Additional responsibilities, as assigned as the new organization evolves<br><br><br>[#video#https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ggbnzRY9z8w{#400,300#}#/video#]<br><br><br>COVID-19: While Novartis does not require vaccination at this time, for certain Novartis sites in the US all associates and candidates may be required to either upload an image of their COVID-19 vaccine card demonstrating proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 (or other similar evidence of vaccination) or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken by the associate or candidate within the past seven days to enter any of our sites and/or customer office or healthcare facility, as well as prior to participating in other work related off-site meetings.
