About the Role

The Executive Director of MarTech Product Management, Product Owner Salesforce prioritizes and delivers a product vision and roadmap that satisfies established strategy, business goals, and customer needs. As Product Owner of Salesforce, this key position will guide the Salesforce product to success, ensuring customer value is embedded in product utilization. This role will report directly into the Executive Director, Marketing Automation & Product Strategy, partnering with US Marketing Strategy, Customer Engagement and Customer Experience, UX Design and UX Research Lead(s), Data and Insights Analytics (DIA), Data Digital and IT (DD&IT) and other teams to design customer-centric approaches to meet aligned business and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle (from build, to launch and run).

Key Responsibilities:

• VISION: Owns product strategic vision and articulates the “What” and the “Why”, based on a deep understanding of customer’s jobs-to-be-done

• OPERATING MODEL: Owns or is a partner in the enterprise approach to operationalizing the product pursuant to the strategic vision, enabling pull through to happen at the brand or ground level

• ROADMAP: Collaborates with the team to build and align the product roadmap to the 3-year product vision and strategy for technology within the Integrated Marketing & Customer Experience organization

• BACKLOG: Owns the product backlog and leads all aspects of ongoing backlog refinement throughout product lifecycle, using insights and analytics to make informed recommendations and decisions

• ARTIFACTS: Works with Solution Architect/Technical Product Lead to create and manage artifacts (e.g., product epics and stories in canonical format) that create clarity for the team

• BUDGET & PLANNING: Participate in the annual planning effort, including budgeting and planning, as well as defining group objectives that support the overall Integrated Marketing & Customer Experience organization’s objectives. Manage third party contracts related to product platform and operations, including RFPs where relevant, renewals, and assessing against value received

• LEADERSHIP: Creates autonomy and psychological safety for the Product team, acting as a servant leader, removing organizational impediments (resources and processes) outside of the scrum team and clearing dependencies

This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require 15% travel.

Role Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field is required; Master of Science or MBA preferred

Essential Requirements:

• 5 years of leading Product Management of Salesforce Marketing Cloud in an enterprise environment with experience in leading large scale enterprise ground-breaking projects in large organizations

• At least 10 years' leading Product Management in a large organization with 10 years of related technical experience in Product Management with multi-functional experience across Commercial Operations and/or Marketing

• Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in operating effective marketing technology configurations and integrations that drive performance and enable effective customer engagement and marketing activities. Relevant experience in transforming the businesses through personalized engagement and related product management operations.

• Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal guardrails and policies

• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills to partner with various collaborators and teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Technology Transformation, Communications, Privacy, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and Global external partners

• Detailed with the ability to lead Change Management while managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.

• Ability to work closely with technical and data teams to translate business requirements and user needs to architecture and product solutioning.

Desirable Requirements:

• Salesforce.com certifications (Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud)

• Experience in Life Sciences and familiarity with agile approaches to marketing strategy and execution

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $233,600 and $350,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee re-ceives an offer of employment.
