Position Summary

​​​​​This position provides operational support for the Content Management team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Content Management Librarian team to streamline BMS's digital asset library and assist with daily operations and workflow development and implementation of best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • ​​Becoming familiar with the Content Management Team’s operational processes and objectives.
  • Provide support with process improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Compile user data related to security and permissions in support of internal audits.
  • Collect best practices, questions, and issues.
  • Research solutions to issues and vet with team.
  • Track metrics and create dashboard on program outcomes.
  • Assist with monthly review of metadata tagging accuracy of published content.
  • Schedule and participate in bi-weekly meetings for librarian team, track improvement actions and perform follow-ups as required.
  • Update SharePoint site related to Content Management processes and dashboards.
  • Prepare training materials for team meetings or Lunch & Learns.

What You Will Learn

​Interns can expect to learn the following skills: Metadata/taxonomy management, portal design in a DAM environment, securities and permissions governance, and presentation skills. The successful candidate will complete an end-to-end project for their portfolio focusing on the development, governance, and user training on reuse of assets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ​​Preferred Majors: Library Science, Instructional Design, Information Architecture
  • Understanding of taxonomy
  • Ability to think strategically to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Computer skills with competencies in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. Experience with Adobe would be preferable
  • Project management skills to monitor and drive outcomes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be available for an internship that will run from June 2022- May 2023

  • Candidates must be available to be able to commute to the BMS- Tampa, FL location for the year internship (Up to 40 hours per week in summer and up to 20 hours per week in fall & spring)

  • Candidates must be actively enrolled in school during the internship with a graduation date of May 2023 or later
