What you’ll be doing...

The Consumer Content and Partnerships Team is responsible for connecting consumers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network.

We oversee partnerships, source opportunities and negotiate with a broad range of content and programming entities, including major broadcast and cable companies, sports leagues, emerging O&O platforms, OTT/digital providers, studios, AR/VR producers, retailers, gaming developers, and live entertainment venues and production companies. Content serves as a key driver in consumer decision making, and the role that content plays for our current and future customers is increasingly critical. As the largest direct-to-consumer platform in the U.S., we have a massive opportunity to herald in the next consumer use cases for video, audio, immersive and live experiences. Our team sits at the center of that opportunity.

Verizon is seeking a motivated, critical thinker, who is ready to be a leader in content-driven partnerships and initiatives across the sports and entertainment industries. This is the perfect role for a strategic partnerships professional that wants to be at the intersection of media, entertainment and technology. This person should be partner centric and have the strategic and operational expertise to maximize the value of content partnerships across Verizon.


  • Oversee the management of marquee content partnerships.
  • Evaluate potential new strategic opportunities in the sports, media and entertainment space.
  • Champion CRO/Content Team objectives when working on broader company-wide strategic partnerships.
  • Meticulously execute on all partnership operational elements.
  • Align internal stakeholders to present a shared vision to external partners.
  • Effectively communicate with potential and existing partners and obtain buy-in around Verizon’s value as a marketing and distribution partner for Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) services.
  • Optimize partner management function, by ensuring overall partner satisfaction, while driving Verizon business objectives/KPIs.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and own a portfolio of content partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability for close collaboration with members of the Product, Marketing and Network organizations.
  • End-to-end deal experience, including sourcing, structuring, and executing successful partnerships such as large scale marketing and content deals, technical collaborations, complex digital media transactions, and strategic technology relationships.
  • Market/customer centric vision knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the content, media and technology ecosystem.
  • Ability to work in highly complex and matrixed organizations.
  • Experience developing and presenting slide decks to senior executives.
  • Experience in the DTC subscription space.
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Word, and GSuite (Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar, Docs).
  • Partner Management Experience
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, innovative and committed to quality outputs.
  • Self-starter highly organized, efficient, and capable of leading meetings and driving them towards a common goal.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, prioritizing multiple projects, and working under tight time-frames to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Passion for the content, technology and DTC industries.
  • Strong network across the media/tech/content community.
  • MBA
