This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients! <br><br>As Associate Director, Global Program Management, Disease Area X you provide program management leadership to a range of early-stage, general medicine (non-oncology) drug development programs. In close partnership with the program team leader, you build high performing teams and drive the creation and execution of integrated strategic and operational plans for global programs from preclinical to Phase 2 development decision points.<br>NIBR's Disease Area X catalyzes and drives transformative therapies for emerging, high-potential indications. Our current research primarily focuses on liver, kidney, and respiratory diseases.<br><br>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br>• Lead project teams with respect to the timing, scenario/options development, risk management, opportunity challenges and requirements of interfacing with Decision Boards.<br>• Partner with project team leaders and functional leaders to define project strategy, develop and maintain integrated project plans, and manage diverse teams across multiple sites to meet project timelines/goals.<br>• Continuously adapt project strategy based on internal and external information<br>• Use drug development expertise (especially preclinical and early clinical development) to integrate knowledge of all line functions for project.<br>• Ensure that key milestones and go / no go criteria are data driven and clearly defined. Owns quality of project information and make sure project information is accurate and included in the system(s) in a timely matter.<br>• Manage and communicate project status, issues and options for resolution to ensure optimal and timely information flow to all stakeholders.<br>• Foster effective, proactive and open communication within and across project teams, builds trust among team members to achieve transparency and clarity of program goals, progress and issues.<br>• Establishes mutual respect and trust in the program team.<br>• Contribute to the functional excellence of program management through improvement in processes, procedures, and tools related to program management practices.<br><br>[#video#https://youtu.be/ggbnzRY9z8w{#400,300#}#/video#]
