What you’ll be doing...

As our Senior Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of In-Building Venue (IBV) Subject Matter Experts driving technology innovation throughout the market. The submarket of the Southwest has become a focal point in the country for large scale events and functions driving the need for short term implementation, long term planning and temporary deployments for the RAN. The SMEs on the team that you would lead will span responsibilities that include Financial planning/management, Project Management and IBV (Real Estate, Construction, Equipment Engineering and implementation). Additionally, the submarket may be required to deploy temp assets throughout the market which could be the responsibility of you in this role. You’ll manage the team to deliver throughout the end to end build process to drive timely activations of In-Building, large Venue, DAS and Temp deployments, within the Southwest Region. Leading the Real Estate pipeline and execution to deliver and plan with a 3 year view is critical in this role. Additionally, being responsible for managing the Capital Budget for the IBV, forecasting and driving through collaboration with your peers and the monthly spend targets. As a leader in this organization you will motivate, coach and develop your team to maximize productivity and drive employee performance. You should have the natural ability to work through complex situations and collaborate with different organizations to ensure results.

  • Manage the regional In-Building Venue Team and delivery by working closely with peer groups such as RF Design, HQ IBV, Network Assurance, Transport Engineering, and Supply Chain at minimum
  • Budget Management adhering to all CPS-103 guidelines
  • Understand and align with directional DAS technology roadmaps and HQ IBV strategy
  • Drive Real Estate activities that enable entitlement for implementation at the right cost, time and quality
  • Establish expectations around cycle-time for specific tasks, measure performance, and manage performance accordingly.
  • Look for ways to improve current processes and tools that will help the team improve product quality and delivery time.
  • Create monthly objectives and establish processes/methods to hold teams accountable.
  • Evaluating and onboarding of employees, prospective vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure Team goals are aligned with Company direction.
  • Maintain a positive work environment, as measured by the results of Employee Opinion Surveys, while meeting targeted Team and personal objectives.
  • You’ll manage large-scale projects and collaborate with teams to ensure work production meets and exceeds our goals.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other managers, peers, executive leadership, clients and key contacts within other departments within Verizon and with outside vendors and customers.
  • Use of Data analytics to drive decision making and help find opportunities and drive efficiencies in our processes.

What we’re looking for...

Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Drivers license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of thec time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge of DAS wireless industry including architecture, real estate, construction, transport, operations, and RF/System Performance functions
  • Leadership and organizational skills and the ability to develop, manage and track the execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and coach large diverse teams toward common goals and objectives.
  • Ability to deliver quality results and to meet or exceed objectives while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsible for communicating effectively at all levels
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver upon commitments, goals and objectives.
  • Experience in office tools, analytics and database management
  • Conflict resolution and negotiating skills
  • Highly autonomousabilities.
  • Experience in SAP and Data Analytics.
