Job Description

Senior Manager, Portfolio & Project Management for Cell Therapy Operations (CTO) will be a member of the CTO PMO Team and will report to the Director of Portfolio & Project Management for the CTO PMO. You will have the opportunity to shape the documentation, systems, and tools used in the CTO organization as well as identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with PMs and PMO/Portfolio leads to maintain data accuracy in the portfolio
  • Support the CTO portfolio intake and prioritization processes to ensure the organization is focused on the right programs and projects to achieve our strategic business goals
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement appropriate industry best practice project and portfolio management tools and methodologies
  • Support portfolio and project management tool implementation and continuous improvement, acting as lead contact to our portfolio and project management tool team
  • Act as portfolio and project management tool admin for CTO PMO, monitoring stage gate decisions for CTO strategic projects and programs
  • Facilitate design and development of Tableau Dashboards and or other reporting technology for CTO PMO
  • Manage and deliver CTO PMO owned training resources and ensure content is delivering value for end users
  • Provide general departmental support in the form of community of practice meeting prep coordination/facilitation, teams channel administration, manage shared inbox communications, and administration of the CTO PMO SharePoint site(s)
  • Act as project manager for strategic projects or programs, as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in Portfolio, Program, and Project management (Cell Therapy/Manufacturing/Network Strategy experience preferred)
  • Portfolio, Program and/or Project Management Experience (PMP Certification or equivalent preferred)
  • Ability to provide great customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to organize a team and coordinate work that builds towards a goal
  • Proficient in Portfolio and Project Management tools (Microsoft Project, etc.)

The Sr. Manager, Cell Therapy Supply Planning Analytics is integral to the development of the Cell Therapy supply planning strategy, and accountable for a variety of business operations initiatives and analyses:

  • Act as main liaison between Supply Planning and Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A)
  • Deliver intelligence and insights to stakeholders by applying and demonstrating expertise in the areas of advanced analytics, forecasting, data lakes, and predictive modeling.
  • Conceptualize and pilot Cell Therapy Supply Chain metrics dashboards, including inputs, calculations, and aggregation and work closely with Business Insights & Analytics on industrializing/implementing the lead concepts.
  • Run scenarios and derive insight into planning optionality, recommend actions to improve the supply plan, and influence overall supply strategy

Key responsibilities

  • Collect stakeholder requirements, conduct appropriate analyses, and present results in an innovative format and informative visualizations for a broad audience.
  • Develop reporting dashboarding tools to assist stakeholders with monitoring performance, scenario analysis and decision making.
  • Perform demand, supply and capacity scenario-, risk-, and sensitivity analyses by product, region, and manufacturing site in support of planning and ad-hoc reviews.
  • Support site capacity teams to develop specific analyses, e.g. medium-long range supply and demand scenarios, product lifecycle changes, facility modifications, network capability and capacity additions, etc.
  • Critically review capacity and supply data accuracy/reliability and evaluate cause-effect relationships between actions, business outcomes and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) to build metrics dashboard, with automated data collection and aggregation, with drilldown capabilities into lower level/supporting KPI’s and data
  • Ensure planning assumption alignment with short-term supply/demand/capacity reporting, including monthly Supply Review and SD&OP meetings and presentations
  • Help develop business cases that drive decision making through rigorous, fact-based quantitative analysis and the synthesis of insight into actionable recommendations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: Site capacity teams, Site & External Mfg SC Leads, BI&A, SD&OP team, supply and demand planners, commercial team, etc.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or MBA preferred
  • APICS certification or equivalent desired

Experience / Knowledge Desired

  • Required: 6+ years of applicable experience in a fast-paced multifunctional matrixed environment with a reputable, multinational Pharmaceutical, Consumer Product, Nutrition/Food, or Consulting company
  • Required: Applicable experience with capacity planning, network planning, and/or supply planning
  • Required: Experience with data analytics, SQL databases, BI tools, scenario planning, risk analysis
  • Required: Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Required: Solid MS Excel skills, familiarity with Spotfire and/or Tableau
  • Required: Demonstrated ability experience to process-map business processes and assess them for streamlining opportunities and risks identification
  • Preferred: Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements
  • Preferred: Experience in biopharmaceutical/cell therapy manufacturing and supply chain, with minimum of 3 years of effectively working in cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with stochastic (Monte Carlo) simulation models
  • Preferred: Experience in Integrated Business Planning (or SD&OP) Management
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP software (SAP IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis Rapid Response)
  • Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping experience
  • Preferred: Strong strategic skills

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $114,000 - $144,00 , plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
