Education and qualification experience:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in scientific filed

  • 0-2 years experience preferred

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Ability to work with direct supervision

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Laboratory sourcing/supply inventory levels

  • Ensure adequate laboratory supplies and materials are available for efficient lab operations, to include the unpackaging and storage of materials.

  • Ensure laboratory supplies and materials are of the quality level necessary to facilitate compliant lab operations.

  • Perform receiving, checking, and verification of in-bound materials to include small packages, freight, temperature controlled, GMP and HAZMAT items.

  • Perform preparation of shipping paperwork of out-bound materials to include small packages, freight, temperature controlled, GMP and HAZMAT items.

  • LIMS Support o Ensure that received laboratory supplies and materials are configured in LIMS as needed to facilitate lab operations.

  • Ensure laboratory supplies and materials are entered and maintained in the LIMS,

  • Third Party Management o Effectively utilize the applicable purchasing/contract systems to complete contractual agreements and day-to-day purchases.

  • Works with and effectively communicates with third party vendors for order updates and resolution of invoice and payment discrepancies.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed to facilitate laboratory operations.

  • Working Conditions:

  • The incumbent will be required to type up to 4 hours per day.

  • The incumbent will be required to push, pull, reach, balance and/or lift greater than 20 lbs. for 2 hours, approximately 3-5 times per week.

  • The incumbent will be required to stand for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours per day.

  • The incumbent must be able to distinguish colors and possess correctable vision to 20/20, annual eye exam required.

  • The incumbent may be working around hazardous materials to include the handling of chemical agents 8 hours a day.

  • The incumbent may be working in and/or around the Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories, at a computer terminal, up to 4 hours per day.

  • The incumbent will work with direct supervision once job training is completed.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is not expected.
