Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to plan and execute on Enabling Functions portfolio of IT projects to ensure on time, in scope and on budget delivery. Drive intended business outcomes in collaboration with cross functional teams and vendors.  This job will require managing stakeholders and sponsors ensuring Business objectives are met with the right sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of projects/workstreams of larger projects in Enabling Functions IT portfolio to deliver on intended outcomes, under the supervision of experienced program manager or mentor:

  • Ensure project deliverables, schedules, and financials adhere to established standards and are managed in alignment with BMS Project Management best practices across their assigned projects.

  • Identify dependencies, evaluate risks, and triage issues for criticality and ownership.

  • Examines program/project deliverable, documentation/data for completeness and accuracy

  • Monitor and control schedule and financial health of their assigned projects and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.

  • Prepares project status reports and documentation to keep project sponsors and stakeholders informed of project progress and potential risks/roadblocks so they can take appropriate action.

  • Prepare/coordinate communications internal to the project team to share information and ensure team alignment

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings and or work sessions

  • Captures minutes for relevant project me

  • Interact with other portfolio and program leads, as well as portfolio governance to provide quality and consistent reporting

  • Collaborate with multi-functional and virtual teams across BMS IT, Business functions, Vendors and Service Providers 

  • Encourage innovation across projects and organize forums for cross-sharing of ideas, execution, artifacts


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to build and leverage relationships through diplomacy.​

  • Excellent communication skills   

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams  

  • Demonstrated analytical thought using various data sources and internal/external environment. Understands the broader implications of actions and perspective. Synthesizes results and links patterns and trends. Considers lessons learned and best practices in conveying to the team's understanding and knowledge.​

  • Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption   

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), preferred.

  • Demonstrates openness to learning and developing. Takes a responsibility for their own development and growth.​ 

  • Innovative and inquisitive nature to ask questions, offer bold ideas and challenge the status quo
