As a member of our FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) team, you will bring your passion, education and experience to this critical mission and interact directly with decision-makers and government staff who are tasked with ensuring the nation's air transportation system's underlying communications infrastructure is secure and always available. As a Project Manager for the FAA FENS Transition, you will be aligned with our Managed Security Services team.
- Ensuring the Security policies and firewall rules, SIEM lead the infrastructure buildout of our critical security and network builds, our dedicated network and security operation centers physical and logical builds, and ensure the respective tools, interfaces, and training have been conducted to meet the operational readiness milestones.
- Working with our OSS, BSS, IT, Network and Security operations and engineering team to create the project plan, schedule, tasks, owners, dependencies and assign resources, respectively.
- Collaborating and negotiating with the internal work groups, business partners, and OEMs, and possibly FAA to meet schedule. You have responsibility for daily/weekly reporting, tracking and reconciliation via our Project Management Information System tool, Microsoft Project, weekly status and monthly progression reports.
- Partnering directly with the Transition Deputy and the Infrastructure Project Manager to ensure all the parallel workstreams are integrated and critical paths synchronized to ensure overall Project and Program success.
- Providing the oversight strategy and approach for the site transition for MSS Security for the Phase 4-5 working with the 3 Regional Transition Project Manager leads starting in month 12+ to ensure orders, alignment of MSS and MNS are coupled together correctly for implementation and activation across the ordering., management and monitoring systems.
- Execute and maintain project management processes in the areas of project schedule, quality management, communications management, risk/issue management, and change management.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with the input and assistance of transition leads
- Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed
- Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders in various departments: Sales, Professional Services, IT Operations, Development teams, Release Management, Networking
- Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports
- Responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated schedules
- Influence continuous improvement of project management methodologies including: assessment of project delivery capabilities, gathering and reporting performance metrics, establishing corresponding targets, and measurement of on-going progress.
- Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams
- Interface with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis
- Prepare and document Day 1/Day 2 support documentation and acceptance criteria

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience.
- 8+ Years proven Project Management experience with proven track record and experience with deploying and delivering complex solutions.
- Enterprise Client Experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word and Microsoft Project.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- ITIL V3 Certification Desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Desired
- Proficiency in customer enablement tools
- Supplier Management
- Financial Business acumen
- Broad Verizon product experience
- Ability to manage and negotiate with required internal and external organizations
- Demonstrated experience with verbal & written communications.
