Novartis protects 750 million patients and employs more than 100,000 employees in over 140 countries.<br><br>Job Purpose<br>Ensure and enable the delivery of high-quality communications, learning options and internal and external engagement opportunities for the local NIBR San Diego organization. Design, collaborate and implement programs for the San Diego sites, including multiple Disease Areas, Functional Areas and support functions, to promote an engaged, inspired, curious and unbossed culture across NIBR San Diego. <br><br>Major Accountabilities<br>Communications;<br>• Serve as a knowledge expert, partner and the primary contact for all internal NIBR San Diego communications and channels. Work across DA/FA and support functions on appropriate communication channels and target audiences for maximum impact and engagement of each message to improve employee understanding of content. Communications specialist onsite with the Novartis Emergency Management team.<br>• Perform the writing, editing, design and delivery of communications targeted to events and site-level information to be customized in partnership with appropriate functional leadership<br>• Ensure all communication projects, messages and requests are within the overall strategy and aligned with company-wide messaging. Ensure the development and maintenance of content and layout for the NIBR San Diego Intranet, providing targeted and easy-access in-formation for relevant audiences. Townhall organization / content & coordination<br>Learning and Culture;<br>• Developing the NIBR San Diego strategy and roadmap for employee events and programs to support organizational initiatives and promote engagement, connections, productivity, and purpose. Pull trends for suggested programs for the overall site / drive overall site culture movement<br>• Directing the work of our planning support groups to implement and manage engagement events locally. This includes NIBR San Diego social celebrations, family events, work/life balance programs, and community/volunteering opportunities, etc.<br>• Learning content curation and identified learning opportunities. Work with individual leadership on needs / content development. Partnering closely with the Global Inclusion & Diversity team on events and programs to foster inclusivity and belonging across NIBR San Diego<br>• Collaborate with NIBR Communications groups to improve local external branding/messaging to increase external awareness for the organization and drive engagement. <br>• Collaborate with Corporate and NIBR learning teams to identify areas for individuals and teams to upskill and learn from each other and improve collaboration within and across teams<br><br>While Novartis does not require vaccination at this time, for certain Novartis sites in the US all associates and candidates may be required to either upload an image of their COVID-19 vaccine card demonstrating proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 (or other similar evidence of vaccination) or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken by the associate or candidate within the past seven days to enter any of our sites and/or customer office or healthcare facility, as well as prior to participating in other work related off-site meetings.
