Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager, Space Components.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

This role will be responsible for defining and executing portfolio strategy, developing the annual business plan and associated investment strategy, and managing the business to meet or exceed the plan while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Key elements of the business plan include orders, sales, profit, cash, internal research and development, indirect expenses, and staff utilization. The role identifies and manages the strategy to drive the assigned portfolio of products and programs through the full life cycle (opportunity identification through sun-setting or replacement). The goal is to provide the focus required to maximize revenue, profit and cash for the product line by owning the product strategy, driving program execution and leveraging technologies and know-how to create highly differentiated products that meet both current and adjacent market needs. This includes actively engaging with the customer base to anticipate their requirements, align to their road maps, and ultimately, ensure that a well-articulated strategy and value proposition is available to all stakeholders. This includes serving as “the voice of the customer” inside the factory, to internally extend the value proposition. This role will operate within a matrix organization and be required to work horizontally, collaborating with functions and other Product Lines to deliver on commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Driving the product portfolio through all phases of the Lifecycle including: identifying new opportunities in line with market needs; developing the business case for new products/opportunities; phase appropriate pricing; program execution; product field support; next generation technology offerings.
  • Contributing to the product line’s internal business strategy, including market analysis, product and technology roadmaps, and other market assessment tasks
  • Alignment of technology investments with product needs for current and future product developments through close coordination with: BD & Sales; key customers; and Engineering
  • Driving all aspects of program and proposal performance through direct management of the Program Management team for the assigned product line
  • Coordination with functional organizations to support resource requirements for programs, proposals and investments
  • Being responsive to key customers
  • Responsible for successful capture and execution of product line programs
  • Maximizing profit and cash conversion by achieving or exceeding key business measures, including: budgeted gross margin for the assigned product line, inventory turns, program execution measures.
  • Product sales, market share - measured by orders & revenue
  • Recognized product / service leadership in market segment - measured by customer satisfaction ratings and operational KPI’s
  • Measurement and achievement of New Product Introduction (NPI) business cases.
  • Championing change and thought leadership.
  • Extensive coordination with functional management
  • Works with Functional Leaders, Business Development, Operations, etc. to develop shared goals that support this role’s accountabilities

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, within a manufacturing, operations, supply chain, engineering, sales or program management environment?

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee or Refugee.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Relocation is not provided, all candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Eaton's facility in Orchard Park, NY

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration

• Experience with P&L

• Experience creating executable value propositions.

• Experience in successfully driving program performance, correlating with business and customer goals

• Work experience encompassing in-depth knowledge of the product set and industry

• Experience operating within and achieved business targets in an environment aligned to relevant products and markets

• Established relationships with affiliated industries and Government contracting customers

• Establish and work within a cross-functional organizational design

• Experience in the proactive development, and successful execution, of relevant strategies addressing evolving customer needs and market dynamics

• Ability to build and maintain relevant internal and external relationships, with strong customer rapport and proven customer trust
