Eaton’s Power Distribution Control & Assemblies division is currently seeking a Project Manager. This role is located in Omaha, NE.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,250 - $117,700 a year.

The primary function of the Product Sales Engineer/Project Manager (PSE/PM) is to oversee the customer project from preparing bids, placing orders to delivery and warranty situation. The PM will be the primary contact between the Eaton Omaha Power Center and the customers for all matters related to their projects. You act as a technical expert to align customer needs to internal organizational capabilities, and support cross functional communication to achieve on time, and profitable results. This position will be familiar with competitive product offerings and be able to position Eaton products to best compete against competitive products.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects between Eaton and the customer, sales representatives, and the Sales & Marketing department. Inform these contacts as appropriate of project status and issues affecting the project. Assure the timely flow of information to and from the customer.
  • Partner with divisional and plant leadership top support new product development and offerings to existing customers.
  • Partner with Sales organization to lead the quotation, bid process for new and existing customers to meet their expectations.
  • Supervise project through the engineering and submittal processes, manufacturing process and delivery schedules.
  • Work through customer specifications to align to Eaton’s proposals to assist in final determination of all technical design decisions. Establish and prepare the bill of material required for a proposal, carried through the negotiation and the award of an opportunity. and escalate issues outside of scope or disruptions.
  • Ensure that the manufacturing/operations of the projects are on time and that any issues outside of the scope of work are elevated to resolution.
  • Assist in the final inspection and/or customer witness test of all finished goods if required.
  • Establish and maintain deep customer relationships to support customer needs and feedback for future projects, and warranty type issues post shipment.
  • Assist in the training and development of other PSE/PM’s and other product engineers.
  • Visit customers with other Eaton personnel or sales to enhance understanding of Eaton products, field activities and solution development. (VOC)

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years or working as a Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Product Sales Engineer
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of working within the power systems industry, power distribution or utility market.
  • Experience with risk evaluation and risk management.
  • Estimating experience in substation and electrical systems.
