Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Product Manager. This role can be located out of Peachtree, City, GA, Moon Township, PA or remote.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.

The product manager provides leadership in formulation and implementation of product line strategy, marketing plans and growth programs, and new product development / customer value propositions to enhance sales and profitability growth for the Connected Solutions product line. The product manager leads all aspects of VOC (voice of customer), administering the process and implementing collection for the product line. This role works closely with engineering defining and informing their development and delivery of a cohesive connected experience. You will help create solutions, features, and applications based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will define product release requirements with support from engineering. You will work with marketing communications and business development teams to define the go to market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.

What you’ll do:

  • Determine product direction and strategy for Eaton Home Energy Management products and drive key alignment with ARS product lines
  • Work closely with the Product Line manager and product line team to achieve profit plan financials with a focus on end to end profitability and sales growth
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products
  • Create Product Requirements Documents defining product specifications and features
  • Create user stories for software and application functionality enabling the technology team to the implement the software that fulfills the user story requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • As Product Owner, accept or reject completed user experiences.
  • Work with Marketing and Product Marketing to correctly communicate the value propositions to consumers.
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan for each product, working with all departments to execute.
  • Drive efforts for continual improvement in the products, including bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Perform competitive analysis and development product competitive comparisons as needed. Maintain a pulse on the competition (their product offering, footprint, and go to market strategy).
  • Provide bi-monthly market update and analysis (with projections) and market intelligence to the product line manager. Support PLM with forecasting as required.
  • Create and update presentations and spreadsheets as needed (Ops reviews, profit plan, staff meetings, sales meetings, customer meetings, market share files, etc.). Support and back up PLM in assigned meetings.
  • Provide product training and develop training materials for customers, Eaton sales personnel and Eaton channel partners.
  • Travel as required in position to get VOC data and to perform essential functions detailed above.
  • Drive efficiency and cost out opportunities



  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 7 years in a Product Management role with responsibilities over software and applications solutions, preferably in an environment with hardware products that are enabled with software.
  • Experience in an energy sector including but not limited to energy storage, solar, utilities and energy monitoring
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred :

  • Bachelor of Science in a Software Engineering or Computer Science field
  • Experience in the Connected Home industry
  • Consumer product experience
  • Project Management experience
