Job Summary:

RiverTech is looking for a Project Manager to work in Herndon, VA.

Akima prides itself on delivering efficient and effective solutions across a wide range of industries. Our success is largely dependent on the stellar ability of the program management team. RiverTech is searching for an experienced program manager to join our ranks and continue this tradition in the Southeast US. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind, be an engaged leader, and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. This person should have strong talent for project coordination, stakeholder management, and delegation. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Manages program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Develops and manages budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
  • Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the customer.
  • Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
  • Requires BA and minimally 5-7 years experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, logistics, supply chain, facilities management, or related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in an upper-management role, preferably in program management.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, conflict management, and organization.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across the organization vertically and laterally.
  • Working knowledge of DoD supply chain, life-cycle management, procurement processes
  • Working knowledge of managing FFP, CPFF, T&M, FFP LOE contracts.
  • Outstanding knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
