Eatons Vehicle Group is currently seeking an Aftermarket Auto Product Manager to join our team. This position is can be based at our Galesburg, Marshall or Southfield, MI location.Position Overview:The Aftermarket Auto Product Manager responsible for the development and execution of product line strategies within the VGNA Aftermarket product management group. The position will have responsibility for product portfolio management, price strategy management, new portfolio recommendations, competitor analysis, promotion development and tracking, and marketing activities for the auto aftermarket product portfolio. The role is accountable for managing the product line offering, achieving financial goals and meeting market share targets.In addition, this role will be responsible for on-time end-to-end implementation of growth initiatives within the product category and for tracking and executing new product launch activities. The role will require the ability to manage and drive program execution.This position will function as an expert across the automotive aftermarket product portfolio. The role requires extensive knowledge of the performance automotive aftermarket industry, understanding of market conditions and trends, knowledge of key customers and competitors, and the ability to develop cross functional relationships to achieve the results.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.In this function you will:+ Develop and execute product line strategies, sales incentive and marketing programs and marketing strategies that will drive sales growth for assigned product lines.+ Measure market competitiveness and recommend pricing solutions to achieve overall product line sales and profitability objectives. Implement annual pricing strategies to meet pricing targets while insuring market competitiveness.+ Employ all available existing resources and develop new tools to track and measure effectiveness of product line strategies. Recommend changes based upon identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.+ Execute monthly analysis of product line performance against financial goals and provide feedback to sales with recommended corrective actions (by territory, region or individual customer) with pre-defined targets and goals.+ Perform competitor analysis to develop new product offerings, develop growth strategies, develop marketing materials and competitor cross references.+ Evaluate new product opportunities by analyzing portfolio applicability, market demand, potential revenue opportunity, business financials and deployment strategies.+ Develop annual product growth plans and five (5) year product strategy aligned to overall aftermarket growth.+ Develop cost reduction initiatives to improve competitive positioning and coordinate implementation efforts with supporting functions.+ Maintain product line catalog information and cross references current. Manage datahub information (cross references, product description, application information, etc.) for online product content on Eaton Order Center and Closely coordinate with marketing to ensure product management efforts and strategies are represented and aligned with marketing efforts. Support and facilitate information to maximize the efficiency of product line training programs.+ Participate in industry events with customers aimed at customer satisfaction and sales growth.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger. QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.+ Minimum of five (5) years experience with responsibilities for aftermarket product portfolio management, marketing, and/or project management,+ Experience working for an automotive manufacturing company in an aftermarket role or an automotive aftermarket distribution company+ Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.+ No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Galesburg, Marshall, OR Southfield, MI location.Preferred qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.+ Masters in Business Administration (MBA).+ Product management experience in the Automotive Aftermarket industry or Light Vehicle Service industry.+ Drivetrain or Engine Components product experience.Position Criteria:+ Strong business acumen. Capable to evaluate business opportunities, create business cases, and take calculated risk in order to achieve breakthrough results.+ Solid financial acumen and understanding of financial analysis (price, revenue, profitability, cost).+ Understanding and demonstrated ability to evaluate competitors strategies, technologies, and capabilities and create strategies to drive growth.+ Ability to analyze market intel and understand the impact to Eaton product portfolio.+ Develops strategies to enhance the competitive positions of the portfolio and translates business strategies into clear objectives, tactics, and initiatives.+ Ability to develop, manage and measure sales incentive programs.+ Champions new ideas and takes action to seize competitive advantage.+ Proven interpersonal communication / influencing skills. Encourages communication and information flow across boundaries. Fosters the use of technology to improve communication with others.+ Promotes open discussion of ideas; provides others with open access to information.
