Job Summary

Amentum is now hiring a Senior Operations Manager-SME

  • Assist and coordinate with functional leads and budget personnel to develop, manage and project program budget requirements.
  • Assist budget personnel with the development of a program spend plans and provide guidance to budget team and functional leads in their efforts to review and maintain an accurate spend plan through the year of execution.
  • Provide guidance and advice related to all budget reporting requirements, budget drills and other budgetary related taskers.
  • Provide guidance to program leadership and coordinate required inputs for all responses to program tasks and actions. This includes coordinating with outside activities to include ACM-NS, HQDA G3/5/7, ASAALT and G8.
  • Manage the development and assist with maintaining the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). This includes facilitating recurring meetings with the program scheduler and functional leads and leading the bi-weekly reviews with the program leadership.
  • Provide program management and strategic acquisition planning guidance to program leadership related to T2C2 program requirements and objectives. This includes overall strategic program planning, production planning, logistics operations management support, engineering planning, configuration management, and budgetary and contract acquisition planning.
  • Assist with the development and management of the daily execution of major program tasks in support of program objectives and leadership guidance.
  • Assist and coordinate with functional leads and contracts personnel to develop all required Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs) to support program requirements for hardware, software and services support. This includes the preparation of all Statement of Work (SOWs), Independent Cost Estimates (IGCEs), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables or any other supporting contract documentation requirements.
  • Provide contract acquisition advice and guidance for strategic contract acquisition planning in coordination with program leadership, contracts personnel and functional leads.
  • Assist contracts personnel with the technical evaluation and negotiations for all contract efforts by directly providing and coordinating functional lead inputs for any required technical assessments and feedback on proposals. This includes preparing any required technical evaluation documentation.
  • Assist the contract team with managing and tracking all active contract efforts by coordinating with contract personnel and functional leads and ensuring procedures and tracking methods are in place to achieve these objectives.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of all required meetings, In Process Reviews (IPRs) and team working groups. Participate in all meetings to ensure meeting objectives are achieved based on leadership guidance and lead discussion efforts in coordination with program leadership or functional lead needs.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizational skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience of integrated logistics support experience, either in a US Army or other service program office for C4ISR or related weapon systems (ACAT 1 thru 3) with 5+ years’ demonstrated expertise in writing and/or coordinating the development acquisition related logistics documentation.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must have effective written and verbal communications

  • Position requires 25% travel.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret Clearance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret Clearance.

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  • Must be able to pass a government background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of related experience
  • BA/BS Degree Preferred
