Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for an Assembler and Test A Technician.

Responsible for assembling and testing hydraulic and/or pneumatic and electronic components as specified in applicable documents with little or no supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Operates in team environment
  2. Ability to read blueprints and schematics (hydraulics/electrical)
  3. Follow and complete process documentation
  4. Report labor in MRP system
  5. Inspect accuracy of documentation.
  6. Uses hand bench and power tools and measuring instruments, including transducers, oscilloscopes, virtual instruments and test boxes.
  7. Assembles and disassembles and tests basic and complex sub-assemblies and valve assemblies.
  8. Laps all required surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds.
  9. Complies with Eaton standard policies and procedures.
  10. Able to perform root cause analysis and fault isolation.
  11. Rejects and reports discrepant materials.
  12. Ability to identify and communicate basic documentation issues and looks for ways to improve and implement changes to current processes and procedures.
  13. Requires a high degree of skill in assembly and test technique, plus extensive experience and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical principles.
  14. Ability to assist less experienced technicians.
  15. Work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. Minimum 4 years experience in hydraulic assembly and test required.
  3. Ability to read and write English.
  4. Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.
  5. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5 plus years experience in hydraulics assembly and testing.
  2. Aerospace experience preferred.
  3. Lock wire and safety wire experience.
  4. Experience in set-up and use of XY plotter, oscilloscopes, and pressure transducer.
  5. Solder certification.
  6. ESD certification.
  7. Experience working in FAA environment.
