Eaton’s Aerospace sector, Fluid and Electrical Distribution division, is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team on 1st Shift. This position is based at our Glenolden, PA facility.

Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembler will laser mark, assemble, and test Lubriclone products according to manufacturing routers and/or instructions.

In this function you will:

  • Follow work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to safely and accurately assemble components.
  • Works from and helps maintain accuracy of work order routers, drawing specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Utilizes machines or hand tools to thermal fit, drill & pin, lockwire, bond, crimp, stake, bolt rivet, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.
  • Operates Class 1 (protected) laser marker system and is familiar with functional checks & basics of laser equipment.
  • Interacts with LaserCad User Interface to call up and activate required programs to accomplish specified mark.
  • Evaluates product dimensional requirements with hand measuring tools, optical comparator, etc.
  • Understands and utilizes provided tooling and fixtures to accurately position parts for marking, assembly, and testing.
  • Evaluates marking of parts through visual inspection and use of Verification equipment (including camera and scanner to capture, evaluate, and log 2D Matrix marks).
  • Performs required Resistance, Decay, Pressure, and Sink Tests in accordance to Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Adapts to the pace of a team flow environment and works independently with little supervision when required.
  • Maintains personal safety by following safety procedures and wearing Personal Protection Equipment required by work processes and/or company policy.
  • Updates Heijunka and Hour by Hour visual management tools

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Glenolden, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical School / Apprenticeship
  • Experience with electronic assembly
  • Experience with soldering
