The Assembler is responsible for assembling and disassembling a variety of life support, air-to-air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems.

In this function you will:

  • Assemble and disassemble aerospace products, in any state, from partial to complete.
  • Replace malfunctioning parts and or sub-assemblies, as necessary.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rework non-conforming units in order to return them to acceptable status
  • Performs drilling, countersinking, sanding, and deburring if required.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools (including drills, sanders, files, grinders, rivet guns, and paint equipment), jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring and test equipment to produce finished units that meet all stated requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution is required
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Experience within a Manufacturing environment

Position Criteria:

  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to read and evaluate various types of readouts and presentations including blueprints, assembly drawings, sketches, and analysis sheets, to determine the status of units and/or their components
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot units, using appropriate equipment
  • Must be skilled in the use of various kinds of power tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, measuring and test equipment as required by the job
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in fitting, adjusting, compensating, and testing various components under close tolerances and using prescribed methods
  • Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions when performing job duties
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision
