Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Assembler - 2nd Shift in Sherman, TX. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $18.87 per hour plus an additional $.60 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:

Job Functions:

• Affix a variety of sub-assemblies to the inside of enclosures and commercial products following print layouts, and verbal and written instructions.

• Use pneumatic and manual hand tools to secure the component parts as appropriate. Label enclosures with appropriate product information.

• Check the quality of assembled parts and finished enclosures.

• Lift finished enclosures into boxes for shipment, cuts, forms, and tape boxes for appropriate sizing using hand tools. Palletize boxes.

• Perform first article inspections.

• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment

• Assembly or subassembly experience in a production environment

• Experience reading blueprints and using simple measuring tools

Position Criteria:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending with or without accommodation

• Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks with or without accommodation

• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools

• Ability to follow directions, and work independently with a focus on details.

• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product

• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate

• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business needs
