Eaton Summer Intern - Production Assembler (4 months) - Perth, ON, Canada

Eaton Industries (Canada) Company, located in Perth, ON, has an opening for a Summer Intern as an Electrical Assembler within our Modification Centre. Primary Function:The Intern, Electrical Assemblers role will be to work in light assembly within the Perth Modification Centre (Mod Shop), where we take standard off the shelf products and modify/customize them to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities:+ Perform electrical assembly tasks in various work cells.+ Perform material handling duties, such as counting and picking components and staging completed assemblies, as needed.+ Perform other related duties as assigned in the warehouse.+ Perform all job functions with adherence to Eatons Philosophy and Values as well as safety and environmental standards. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ Enrolled and returning to a College or University program.+ Must reside within 80km of the Perth, ON facility.+ Must be legally allowed to work in Canada without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment.+ Currently pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.+ Experience with pneumatic tools, electrical operation and/or electrical testing.Position Criteria:+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.+ Experience using hand tools.+ Must have basic computer skills.+ Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.Eaton has in place accessibility policies for accommodating employees with disabilities.
