What you’ll be doing...

The PICS Fulfillment Consultant is responsible for overseeing the warehousing and distribution of plug-in-cards by a 3PL supplier throughout the Verizon Network. This operation manages approximately four hundred thousand units of inventory with over one hundred and fifty thousand fulfillment orders processed annually. This position will oversee daily activities by Verizon’s 3PL supplier, support Customer Service, Network Engineering, Systems Support, Transportation, Planning and Repair teams and act as a liaison between these groups. You will perform extensive diagnosis and troubleshooting to resolve daily issues impacting PICS inbound and outbound orders.

  • Monitoring vendor performance for a range of KPIs such as on-time receiving and shipment of PICS orders.
  • Helping identify non-conforming receipts, returns and processing errors between Verizon and supplier systems.
  • Actingliaison between the supplier and Verizon logistics and procurement partners.
  • Supporting continuous improvement programs featuring quarterly business reviews and other periodic check-ins to foster an environment of constant communication and collaboration.
  • Monitoring and reconcile daily cycle count process including progress reporting.
  • Working with the supplier to clear discrepancies between Verizon and the suppliers Warehouse Management systems.
  • Coordinating an Annual Physical Inventory of warehouse stock, if deemed necessary.
  • Working with the supplier and Verizon systems support to resolve any inventory discrepancy.
  • Submiting for approval, all financial discrepancies for general ledger adjustment.
  • Supporting on-site compliance audits.
  • Providing weekly, monthly and annual cycle count reports.
  • Working on Sarbanes Oxley audit requests including bin audits and packing slip to content reporting.
  • Working with Procurement and Inventory planning teams to ensure order accuracy and report non-conformances.
  • Working with PICS Customer Service to resolve order issues.
  • Working with Repair team on issues requiring on-site attention.
  • Working with IT / System Support teams to resolve data discrepancies and web service issues between Verizon and supplier systems.
  • Working with Logistics / Transportation teams on shipping related issues.
  • Working with Network Engineering on field related issues including RMA’s.
  • Working with all Verizon business partners on new projects and initiatives impacting PICS.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in warehousing and/or operations.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and occasional weekends when necessary
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in Telecom industry.
  • Experience in reverse supply chain operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in ERP and/or inventory tracking/planning systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
  • Thorough and comprehensive diagnosis skills.
  • CSCP, CPIM, APICS, CPSM or ISM Certification.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the occasional use of lifts to access materials in storage.
