Job Description

Organon is hiring a Packaging Technical Operations Senior Specialist to join our Technical Ops team at our World class manufacturing site in Cramlington. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing technical assistance for all processes involved in the packaging of products on site, including automated packaging, serialisation and aggregation, and ownership of packing master formulae and recipes.

This is a great time to join our team as it grows and evolves and a unique opportunity to be responsible for supporting work related to in-line products and new product introductions to the site, helping develop associated processes such as cleaning or process validation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the introduction of new or transferred products to site, including assistance with new equipment, ensuring timely use, efficient performance, successful validation and optimal process capability.

  • Investigate and follow up on issues arising from packaging or laboratory deviations, establishing assignable causes for atypical processing events and proposing appropriate actions to prevent recurrence and improve process capability.

  • Demonstrate Operational Excellence through continuous improvement and system robustness improvements with use of appropriate tools such as Lean Six sigma.

  • Support for process maintenance including annual review processes

  • Mentor other members of the Technical Services group

  • Coordinate and/or initiate process improvement projects.

  • Provide Technical support to Quality and Compliance Initiatives

  • Lead nominated specialist topic cross-functional teams for the site.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Science or Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience in industry.

  • Technical Expertise of automated primary and secondary packaging, experience preferred for Pharmaceutical packaging operations.

  • Serialisation and Aggregation experience preferred

  • A demonstrated track record of applying scientific, technical knowledge and problem-solving approaches to deliver business results

  • Organises work by prioritizing tasks utilizing appropriate tools, using resources optimally, establishing appropriate deadlines and ensuring on-time delivery and right first time by integrating with partner areas.

  • Project Management skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful business relationships with partners.
