Re-Invent Returnship - Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations ( MERCUSR114298ENUS)
Re-Invent is our Company's returnship program welcoming back individuals who’ve left the workforce for 2+ years. Our simple objective is to create an empowering space for professionals to re-enter while accelerating their growth into leadership roles. Over six months we would invest in your development through project work, cross-functional exposure, targeted coaching, and leadership visibility.
In this program you will be required to provide operational leadership for the start-up of a new facility build for a biotech drug substance and drug product, including leading projects to establish new facility team, eliminate waste and improve process efficiencies using lean methodologies.
You will be required to exercise independent judgment and support significant projects and will be making key decisions that directly impact business outcomes.
Builders – Vaccine Facing:
The goal of the Vaccine Builders is to improve global access for our vaccines by building new innovative and efficient facilities across our network. Vaccine Builders are responsible for Facility Start-up which includes design, commissioning, equipment qualification, process demonstration, facility licensure, and capacity realization covering various roles within Operations, Maintenance, Automation, and facility management. In order to deliver forward-looking facilities, we are incorporating new technologies; ensuring the job is done right first time; looking for sustainable solutions to reduce our emission and energy use; and developing our people with new capabilities. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Data Analytics, Business, Pharmaceuticals, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and/or related field with 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or Ph.D. with 4 years of relevant experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
Candidate must have taken a career break of 2+ years. A career break is defined as having taken a break from Corporate America; any entrepreneurial explorations, transition to academia, or other personal circumstances constitute as a break.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
Candidate has demonstrated leadership experience in field of study, extracurricular activity, previous internship or undergraduate research, military or prior work experience.
Candidate should possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, a team-player with the ability to work collaboratively.
