We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

The Production Operations Technician position is available at our Animal Health facility in Elkhorn, Nebraska, located on the West end of Omaha. The Elkhorn facility is expanding operations to manufacture animal vaccines and biologics. Looking for talented individuals to join our Production Teams using key technologies for cell culture, filling and packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality product by knowing and maintaining company and Departmental standards and procedures

  • Conduct and complete sterile operations according to Standard Production Processes (SPPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation practices must be performed in a concurrent, legible and consistent basis

  • Prepare cell and viral cultures within flasks, roller bottles in large quantities (1000+ cultures per day), this process is labor intensive and requires ability to push and pull large tanks, open and close large amount of roller bottles, lift trash bags and move large racks up to 20+ times a day

  • Sanitization or sterilization of designated areas and equipment, requiring work with cleaners and attention to small details while cleaning

  • Troubleshoot and complete adjustments of equipment | Ensure all assigned equipment and components are staged for assigned operation

  • Maintain documentation and other duties as assigned. Sterile processes are performed in small labs with up to three other technicians at the same time

  • Technicians will be required to wear full aseptic gown including hood, suite, boots, gloves, mask and googles

  • Some operations will be completed wearing a respirator which can reduce visibility

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, be able to also complete assigned tasks independently, be reliable and on time

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED OR Associates degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline

Experience | Skills

Required

  • Principled and good verbal and written communications

  • Math aptitude

  • Strong work ethic

  • Ability to lift 50lbs on an intermittent basis

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good documentation practices

  • Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of cGMP and inventory control concepts

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and procedures

  • 5 positions available on various days: 2 for Monday-Friday | 1 for Wednesday-Sunday | 1 for Sunday-Thursday | 1 for Fri- Mon
