Machinist - 1st shift

Eaton Aerospace in Bethel, CT is currently seeking a Machinist to join our team on 1st Shift. We produce pressure sensors for commercial, military & space customers.

The starting pay is $25/hour + competitive benefits package and 401K plan.

In this function you will:

• Assembly, setup & maintenance of tooling
• Set up and operate lathe, Bridgeport, grinder, drill press, band saw, cut off saw
• Follow written work instructions, visual aids, sketches and customer blueprints
• Perform visual inspection of parts
• Maintain quality records
• Interpret customer requirements and supplier documentation

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Diploma from Technical High School or equivalent from an accredited institution required
• Minimum of 2 years related experience required
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
• Advanced mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing techniques
• Competence and expertise in machine safety and guarding
