What you will do -

As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer you will support our transformation team, in driving new technologies, automation and cost reduction projects within the organization. Your main focus will be on identifying areas of opportunity within the business for cost savings. You will act upon your ideas to drive achievable results that directly, positively affect the plant metrics and overall GQO goals.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement safety/ergonomic improvements as a first priority
  • Be accountable for ensuring assigned processes and process changes are compliant and documented in accordance with Stryker procedures and applicable regulations
  • Evaluate blueprints for the processing of parts in order to ensure manufacturability
  • Partner with operations, materials, advanced operations, product engineering and other groups to solve manufacturing, and process issue to drive customer satisfaction
  • May direct work of other team members, specifically in the Transformation space as it relates to project deliverables
  • Act as a project lead within operations engineering
  • Contribute to leading in product innovation by listening and working with others and contributing new ideas. From there, then taking these ideas and creating a robust business plan and model to move projects from Ideation/research into execution
  • Be committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria

What you need -

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 4+ years of related experience required
  • Well versed in MS Project - highly preferred
  • Medical device manufacturing experience - highly preferred
  • Master's degree - preferred
