Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking an Manufacturing Clerk in Irvine, CA.

Position Overview:

Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently recruiting for an Manufacturing Clerk on 2nd Shift. This individual will be responsible for marking parts with serial numbers and specific data / information in accordance with drawings, specs and customer requirements. Using equipment such as inkjet printers, rubber stamps, laser machine and applied conformal coding’s as required per drawings.

This role is offering a competitive wage of $19.25 + $1.00 shift differential.

In this function you will:

  • Assigns and stamps identification data, such as part and serial numbers, to components and/or assemblies
  • Assures that pertinent identification information is in accordance with latest drawings and customer requirements
  • Identifies parts per internal procedures and customer flow down requirements. Use of inkjet printers and laser marking machines.
  • Works from shipping documents to maintain records in a serialization log book to document information
  • Maintains daily quality control inspection “buy-off” log book and documentation for Production Control
  • Follow MRP system to prioritize product concerning urgent shipment requirements
  • Requests required documentation prior to moving units to the Shipping Department.
  • Assists in expediting paperwork through the system
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
  • Performs a variety of assembly operations to assemble small and medium sized units of sub-assemblies involving a considerable number of parts
  • Works from verbal instructions, simple detail prints and/or assembly drawings
  • Uses assembly fixtures and power-type bench and hand tools
  • The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
  • Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 months’ previous work experience part marking and some assembly experience
  • Able to read, write and speak English

POSITION CRITERIA

  • Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to interact and participate in a team driven culture
  • Team player and able to multi-task

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous work experience within an Aerospace and/or Manufacturing environment
