The Associate Director of Manufacturing Network Engineering will be functionally responsible for the delivery of Network Services to our Manufacturing and Research Lab environments. The role will be responsible for the Architecture, design, and sustainment of some of our most critical network environments supporting our Manufacturing and Research Labs. This role will be responsible for leading a globally diverse team.

This role requires a highly skilled individual with subject matter expertise across all technologies within the Network Services platform. These Technologies include: Routing, Switching, Wireless, Data Center Networking, Cloud Networking, Firewalls, IPS, and Local Traffic Managers. The position also requires in-depth knowledge of operational best practices and the ability to provide tier 4 troubleshooting efforts to resolve critical issues. The position also requires knowledge of differentiating IT and OT networks as well as knowledge of various Industrial Networking Models and IoT strategies.

The individual will need to demonstrate leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and proactive delivery of network infrastructure and services.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Architect and Engineer Network Services solutions including: Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewalls, IPS, and Local Traffic Managers.

  • Adopt Network Architectures to fit industry-recognized IT/OT models such as the PURDUE model.

  • Lead a global functional team developing priorities in collaboration with business requirements and departmental requirements.

  • Engage and collaborate with business partners to interpret business requirements and deliver Network Services solutions.

  • Provide Tier-4 expert support for Network Services technologies, provide an escalation point for the Network Services Operations and Engineering teams.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years functional and technical experience in Network Services.

  • Fluent in English, in both verbal and written communication.

  • Experience managing and leading global teams and effectively managing relationships within large global organizations.

  • Experience in defining and enforcing global standards.

  • Possesses expert knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Network Technologies, F5 LTM/GTM Capabilities, PaloAlto Technologies. Including expert-level engineering/support capabilities of these technologies.

  • Experience with Security Industry Best practices, including a strong understanding of security zones.

  • Understanding of Industrial Network Communication protocols (Profinet).

  • Understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DeltaV).

  • Knowledge of Industrial Computer Systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc…

  • Experiences with Industrial Automation Software and Data Integrity Products.

  • Ability to acquire new skills in a diverse environment.

  • Understanding of providing Network Services in highly regulated spaces (clean rooms, manufacturing spaces, etc…).

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN/Wireless/Firewall/IPS Designs and Best Practices.

  • Working with and designing solutions to properly fit into a PURDUE model IT/OT environment.

  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM.

  • Industry recognized certifications such as CCIE.
