This is a 2nd shift position:

Basic Function

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering. Serves as escalation point for process and/or material related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to assigned lines/workstations/work centers for process adherence

  • Works with assigned lines/workstations/work centers to ensure quality and material metrics are met

  • Act as first line of defense for troubleshooting including equipment quality and process issues

  • Partners with other Manufacturing Process Leads and/or Team Leaders to coordinate resources in the area based on production schedule and standards and troubleshooting schedule changes throughout the shift

  • May develop process improvement plans with Production Team Leader and/or Operations Engineering

  • Review manufacturing processes and propose small scale changes for efficiency

  • Assist with resolving technical issues as well as maintenance of production equipment

  • Enforce existing operational and process discrepancies and provide guidance for process improvement

  • Assist in executing labor plan by coordinating people movement

  • Assist in providing and/or coordinating line/workstation/work center coverage for absenteeism

  • Assist in providing training in core skill areas to assigned lines/workstations/work centers

  • Supports and Interacts with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution and process improvement

  • Expose and document problems through the MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) process

  • Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers

  • Support and assist with onboarding and training for new employees within assigned area

  • Build and /or operate in production to meet production pace requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

  • Must be able to exercise judgement in the application of professional expertise

  • Must be able to work independently under minimal supervision

Education/Special Training Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, University Degree or equivalent preferred

  • 4+ years of Manufacturing experience
