Eatons Electrical Satellite/Services Center division iscurrently seeking a Production Technician to join our first shift team. Thisposition is based at our Hanover, MD facility.Position Overview:The Production Technician willperform a wide range of skills including: assemble, fit and mountsub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical controlequipment. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection.Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verifyelectrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Its where bold,bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you canhelp us reach ours.In this function you will:+ Perform assigned function from oral and/or writteninstructions, drawings, or other manufacturing Follow establishedprocedures/work instructions for assigned function and handle materials inaccordance with established procedures+ Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment in areaof assignment as required and maintain quality standards by inspecting andtesting finished products to ensure conformance with specifications andcodes+ Maintain expected progress of jobs in area ofassignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages+ Handle all finished products for shipment; callcarriers and load materials into carrier's vehicles+ Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures andkeep equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-Sduties and continued dedication to raising the bar+ Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positiveand team-based attitude. Support peers in time of high demand by workinghours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduledstart/stop times and break periods for the facilityWhen we embrace the different ideas, perspectives andbackgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ High School diploma or GED from an accreditedinstitution+ Minimum one year of experience in electrical assembly ORmanufacturing setting OR completion of a technical vocational program (minimum of 9months)+ Mustbe able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now andwithin the future+ Norelocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of thework location will be considered. ActiveDuty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical arealimitationPreferred Qualifications:+ Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards / switchboards preferred)+ Experience using various tools, including: Manual/electric/pneumatic tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment+ Minimum of 1 year of experience with wiring in an industrial or manufacturing setting+ Experience with reading wiring schematics and point to point diagrams.+ Experience in electrical equipment maintenance / installationPosition Criteria:+ Must be able to interact and contribute in a small team environment and ability to flex according to production demands+ Lift 35 lbs on a regular basis+ Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading)+ Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions+ Keep yourself and team mates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety+ Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training receivedWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunitiesfor all job applicants and employees.
