Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team on 1st Shift. This position is based at our Torrance, CA facility.

The expected pay range for this role is $17.50/hour -$24.50 an hour (rate will be determined based on experience).

In this function you will:

  • Counts, stores and issues parts, materials, and supplies; both physically and in SAP. Maintains integrity count of inventory parts in stockroom. Interfaces with production supervisor, planner, buyer and quality teams in a day to day basis.
  • Performs inventory audits and makes appropriate adjustments as permitted by supervisor.
  • Helps to train other stockroom clerks in basic responsibilities.
  • Counts and moves parts, prepare work order kits for production, receives parts into stock both physically and on SAP computer terminal.
  • Verifies quantities and documentation.
  • Supports traceability of material by writing down information on work order pick list.
  • Utilizes hand counting and electronic scale methods
  • Performs all SAP/material transactions, including dekitting and cycle counts.
  • Prepare and package parts for shipping

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Torrance, CA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP system.

  • Must work accurately with numbers
  • Be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Analytical and organized, able to handle high amount of data
  • Understanding of computer systems and information technology
