Eatons Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Production Planner to join our team. This position will be based at our Beltsville, MD facility.Position Overview:The Production Planner exhibits capability in planning practices for production and leads others to ensure customer orders are completed on time at the lowest possible cost. Manages and identifies areas for improvement in the following areas: planning/shop floor scheduling, tools, shortage resolution, expedites, customer requests, manufacturing efficiency, and capacity management. This position will serve as the lead liaison between manufacturing and the value stream materials team to communicate internal and external demand and supply misalignments. Assist in the attainment of the value streams master production schedule created by the value streams Senior Planner/Master scheduler through effective communication and problem solving with the multi-functional high-performance work team.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Escalates and resolves and issues from production meetings.+ Ensure timely releases of work orders to the shop floor. Monitors the number of work orders outstanding and the capacity load on key operations.+ Collaborate with manufacturing to keep the system aligned to the shop floor activities. Ensures the balance of demand and capacity in lean cells.+ Act as the back-up for the value stream Senior Planner.+ Act as liaison between customer service and the shop floor to ensure customer information is provided timely. Assists in Expediting material, where required, to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements+ Supply chain lead for resolving quality and production related issues. Will work closely with quality and manufacturing engineering teams to drive solutions.+ Convert the constrained demand plan into a feasible production schedule that is validated against capacities.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.#LI-MD1 QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution currently obtained and/or obtained no later than May 2021+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future+ This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within 50 miles of the Beltsville, MD facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:+ Bachelors degree in supply chain management or related field from an accredited institution.+ Two (2) or more years of experience material management, industrial engineering, finance, or supply chain management a plus.+ Application experience in Lean Concepts and APICS Certification.+ Previous working experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes as well as special processes.+ Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.+ Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
