The Procurement Manager will be in charge of coordinating and supervising the process of sourcing LE’s essential materials and goods for the operation. Duties will include researching raw materials, finding off set supplier, comparing costs, writing, and tracking purchase orders, managing inventory controls and processes per LE’s ISO standard, leverage purchasing agreements, and assisting in building long lasting supplier partnerships.

Essential Functions

  • Work directly with VP of Operations to develop and implement purchasing and vendor strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels working directly with the operation on anticipated needs to successfully issue purchase orders, ensuring quality and on-time purchasing delivery.
  • Develop and maintain purchasing processes and standards per LE’s ISO requirements.
  • Continual evaluation of new and alternative suppliers.
  • Build and maintain long lasting supplier partnerships participating in negotiations and timelines.
  • Manage vendor supplier agreements and contracts.
  • Properly maintain the supplier data base and maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, payments, and credits.
  • Ensure procured materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Where applicable, promote improved purchasing cost performance that effect LE’s cost of goods.
  • Participate in the continued development and refinement of purchasing related activities using software to increase and streamline efficiency.
  • Managerial oversight of a purchasing agent.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a procurement manager or similar position required.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of inventory and supply chain management required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Proficient if Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in working in an ERP system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to create and maintain relationships.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to manage time and a constant shuffling of priorities due to our expected growth.
  • Curiosity to learn, challenge, and continuously improve.
Travel
Limited travel is required for position.
