The Position

The Organon Global Procurement & Supplier Management (GPSM) organization partners with the business to develop and implement innovative and fit for purpose sourcing strategies, external partnerships, and robust supplier management to maximize value for Organon.

To secure continuous alignment and support to our Emerging Market business-partners, we are creating a role of Associate Director, Emerging Market Procurement Operations Lead, based in Singapore or our Global Delivery Operations Hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.

Responsibilities 

The Associate Director, Emerging Markets (EM) Procurement Operations Lead - is responsible for Procurement Operations of the EM region which includes Latin America and Russia (LAMERA) and Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) countries.

  • The set-up and Leadership of a team of both external and internal resource while ensuring the team delivers on its commitments.
  • The coordination of Sourcing (RFI, RFP & Proposal analysis) and contracting activities.
  • The operationalization of Category strategies.
  • The management of EM contracts & tools including expiring contracts, contract templates, contract repository, catalogs and guided-buying.
  • The delivery of relevant value-creation/saving targets.
  • The management and improvement of the end-to-end Source to Settle process within the region.
  • The management of supplier on-boarding escalations and monitoring of Third Party Due-diligence refreshes.
  • The coordination and execution of Third Party Spend Analytics, reporting and data clean-up.
  • The Engagement and Management of stakeholders.
  • The monitoring of Procurement Process Compliance within the region acting as a Sourcing & Contracting Process & Policy champion.
  • The Monitoring of EM Procurement performance (including Procurement KPI management).

Required Education, Experience and Skills 

  • 8 to 10+ years Procurement working experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong market-knowledge across indirect categories and experience working in an international and cross-functional environment.
  • Strong sourcing, contract-negotiation & Supplier Relationship Management skills.
  • Ability to understand a global long-term vision based on a thorough understanding of industry trends and opportunities.
  • Team Management skills and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze large complex data sets to derive relevant intelligence in developing sourcing strategies or supporting negotiations.
  • Advanced ability to partner, collaborate and impact decisions at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and find innovative solutions whilst working in an ambiguous, transformational business environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Creative, self-starter and bias for action.
  • English language fluency.
  • Other EM languages fluency is an added advantage but not a requirement.
