Job Description:

Leidos is currently seeking a Commercial Procurement Specialist (CPS) to join our team with supporting our customer’s mission critical systems and networks. The CPS will provide network procurement services to include: company development activities, service ordering, service maintenance, vendor payment coordination, and service termination. These services require day to day interaction with commercial vendors, project managers, network engineers, contracts and finance departments, as well as other stakeholder departments. You will need to possess (or ability to learn) the understanding of financial operations of commercial vendors and a high-level understanding of network services.


  • Database Support
    • Independently manage, enter, update and track the full procurement-to-disposal lifecycle for hardware equipment and software licenses.
    • Track and report status of hardware and software purchases to include vendor invoices, software license renewals and receipts.
    • Independently input, manage and audit purchased equipment/software products into customer asset tracking systems and operational configuration database.
    • Manage, input and update technical equipment information into customer equipment operational database.
    • Maintain strict accountability of high priority items deemed mission critical.
    • Validate accuracy of database entries and status tracking.
  • Operations Maintenance
    • Manage inventory tracking and equipment.
    • Track hardware equipment inventory transferred between locations; update database as required.
    • Generate documentation for managing, shipping and receiving IT equipment to maintain accountability.
    • Manage and troubleshoot purchase and receivable errors. Resolve billing disputes and accounting issues.
    • Create and enhance process improvements to better streamline procurement and inventory tracking efficiencies.
  • Vendor Services
    • Work with program managers, engineering teams and external IT service teams to coordinate equipment and software procurement requirements.
    • Coordinate provider implementation and activation of hardware equipment and software licenses with internal engineering teams, external vendors and service providers.
    • Coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment to multiple customer and vendor locations.
    • Manage all service request from vendor negotiation through final invoice bill payment and account closure in coordination with customer procurement services team.
    • Research internet for companies with desired business offerings and build list of potential partners.


  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
  • Degree in Business or related discipline.
  • 4+ years related experience with degree or 6+ years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven inventory management, equipment tracking and/or networking experience.
  • Experience querying or knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and exceptional communication skills. Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with engineering teams, vendors and IT service providers.
  • Must be highly organized and self-starter with excellent documentation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
