Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Production Data Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility.

Position Overview:

This hands-on role will have primary responsibility and ownership for ERP data integrity at the Beltsville, MD facility. This is a highly collaborative position and there will also be substantial interaction and support with peers to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, analytics, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization. Focus on integrating of all EBE, ELLS, MESH, and EQS initiatives into an overall comprehensive site strategy. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to support and lead multiple projects through implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around them.

In this function you will:

  • Maintain data integrity of the ERP system:
    • Bill of Material Control
    • Routings Control
    • ABC/RRS classifications
    • Lead-time updates both Purchased and Manufactured
    • Alignment of purchased item setups to replenishment strategies.
    • Alignment of manufacturing planning setups to replenishment strategies
    • Integrity of Slow-Moving D-Item classifications
    • Maintain Quoted lead time to customers
    • Maintain and lead MFG lead time reviews
    • Review and update Mfg Yield %
  • Review of Safety Stock numbers. Validation and implementation of correct SS Values
  • Owner of all Planning Data (Item Data Maint., Item-site Inventory Maint., Item-Site Planning Maint., Item-Site Aux Maint.)
  • Owner of D Item Management
  • Owner/Review of all Product Transitions that require SCM Support
  • Lead Physical Inventory Reconciliation
  • Owner of customer consignment inventory accuracy (Off-Site). Support quarterly/annual auditing.
  • Creates and maintains OBIEE, Power BI and dashboard for data analytics support to site leadership
  • Support ad hoc analysis:
    • Production performance
    • Non-production Performance (stockroom, S&R, quality, etc.)
    • Supplier and Customer analysis
    • Inventory discrepancies
    • Quality issues and/or escape
  • Participate and lead in business process improvement events such as meetings, kaizens, workshops, etc.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities are necessary to understand operational inefficiencies on plant performance issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve planning function.
  • Understand technical specifications, products performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations and achieve continuous improvement by analyzing a product’s value stream activity relative to parameters and optimize throughput, flexibility, and on-time delivery.
  • Support Materials Management Projects
  • Leads efforts to drive cost out through data automation

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 (1) years of experience in material management.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of (1) year of experience in using an ERP system
  • Familiarity and understanding of supply chain customer requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience using MfgPro, OBIEE, SharePoint, Power Automate and PowerBi.
  • Possesses some knowledge of commodity management and global/domestic distribution
  • Has experience with material forecasting, demand planning, and scheduling
  • Has good skills in problem-solving within complex and demanding situation which may undergo changing priorities.
