Eatons Electrical division is currently seeking 2nd shift Production Lead - Evolution to join our team. This position is based at our Olean, NY facility.The Production Lead - Evolution performs duties in the areas of planning, controlling and motivating the efforts of Team Members to meet customer requirements/order rates, ensuring that the Lean production process is running as designed, and meeting Safety, Quality, and Delivery, Cost and Inventory goals. The Production Lead regularly uses a process to track and follow-up on assigned tasks. The Production Lead is responsible for directing team members and communicating with other production leads within and between shifts. This position will be responsible for the Evolution Department for 2nd shift and works under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Production Supervisors, exercising initiative and independent judgment as needed. In addition, this is a working lead position and the Lead will have to perform all duties within the Evolution Department.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.In this function you will:+ Lead a team of hourly personnel in a specific department and/or area to fulfill customer requirements and order rates by producing quality products in a safe and timely manner utilizing standard work.+ Use written and oral communication skills. Utilize Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.+ Gather information for updating S-Q-D-C-I and HR x HR boards. Achieves Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, Inventory targets through daily and weekly analysis of production data as assigned.+ Daily use Continuous Improvement (CI) tools utilized within the department(s).+ Align resources, people, and work. Leads the team start-up meetings and shift changes. Conducts production and floor checks.+ Review prior days production-tracking documents to understand root cause of issues. Review hourly personnels daily task assignments and creates new assignments to hit daily goals.+ Conduct training and performs audits as required.+ Complete Lead Standard work. Complete Department Specific Work as needed.+ Works from drawings, prints, work orders, or operation description+ Is fully trained on all operations within the Evolution department, which may include component assembly, unit phase assembly, switch assembly, mechanical and electrical testing, and crating and packing.+ Typical equipment used such as various hand and air tools, torque wrenches, continuity tester, and fork truck.+ Operator is responsible for setting-up the workstation, maintaining production, process control and quality standards, and conforming to all safety and good housekeeping standards. QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalentfrom an accredited institution+ Minimum1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment+ Must be able to work in the United Stateswithout corporate sponsorship now and within the future+ No relocation benefit is being offered for thisposition.
