Major duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales orders within the planning lead time to ensure material is available to fulfill scheduled orders.
  • Utilize ERP and work with Procurement to ensure accurate material availability dates.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, engineering, distribution, purchasing, and customer service for revised priorities and rescheduling in case of design changes, material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Release Job orders to production and monitor existing orders.
  • Ensures customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Actively participate in material allocations between production and CS.
  • Performs analysis that highlights trends, drivers, and issues with production planning, initiates counter measures to resolve issues.
  • Participates as a planning representative on the cross-functional project teams.
  • Coordinate the activities of one or more clerk and/or other non-exempt employee(s).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years in production scheduling or related work experience
  • High school diploma required with coursework in supply chain and/or logistics preferred.
  • Ability to communicate telephonically and in writing.
  • Ability to interpret written and oral specifications.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve routine materials issues using independent judgment.
  • Must be able to understand and follow detailed and complex instructions and operating procedures.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and keep accurate and detailed records.
  • Intermediate PC skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective analytical skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced skill level required for Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Exhibits positive people skills, and a team approach to problem resolution
  • Business System application knowledge in Sales Order management, Production Scheduling, Inventory Control.
