Eatons Vehicle Group division is currently seeking an Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor (Coach) to join our team. This position is based at our Kings Mountain, NC facility.The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating production activities and leading hourly employees to meet customer requirements while providing a safe work environment. This role also establishes and maintains a positive employee relations environment by adherence to Eatons Values, Ethics and Philosophies. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.Essential Functions:You will champion, coach, recognize and motivate employees to utilize Continuous Improvement tools to exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and morale targetsYou will establish and maintain an environment conducive to continuous improvement manufacturing; recommend alternatives for improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditionsYou will champion clutch assembly and manufacturing-post teams in achieving production schedule goals and exceeding customer expectationsYou will drive activities to reduce past due, scrap, and overtime cost while meeting safety and quality objectivesYou will conduct process checks within areas of responsibility and monitor performance to establish standard work formats and daily accountabilityYou will maintain and consistently administer local policies to meet day to day operating requirements. QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors degree required from accredited institution+ Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (internship/co-op experience included)+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a Leader of People+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:+ 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment+ 2+ years of supervisor experience+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques in a production environmentPosition Success Criteria:+ Experience using problem solving tools+ Demonstrated technical understanding of production planning techniques+ Experience in driving continuous improvement activities+ Basic systems knowledge, including computer, quality, materials and manufacturingWe make what matters work.
