Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Sumter, SC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the primary function of the Quality Manager is to develop strategic initiatives and deploy Eaton Quality Systems to ensure key objectives are met. The Quality Manager further supports the operation’s strategic plan by aligning Quality resources to ensure customer order requirements, product quality standards, and product delivery commitments are upheld.

In this function you will:

  • Manage the Quality function for the Sumter, SC facility
  • Implement programs to sustain the Eaton Quality System
  • Maintain ISO 9001 registration and ensure there are zero major findings
  • Support successful completion of internal assessments and reviews, including, but not limited to Operations Assessments (OpA); MESH assessments; Management Reviews; and Operations Reviews
  • Develop successors for the Quality function by demonstrating all elements of the Eaton Leadership Model
  • Support the achievement of the Key Business Driver goals via cross-functional teams
  • Ensure the Quality Systems are robust to support the business objectives
  • Deploy MESH initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture
  • Foster a high-performing work team culture throughout the facility.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tools.
  • Lead key Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance processes including: Corrective Action, Warranty, Audit, Management Review, and Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC)
  • Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in order to review and resolve product/process quality issues
  • Review and evaluate performance, quality and cost improvement objectives via scorecards and other reporting tools as prescribed
  • Own and manage the Tier Meeting Process and Structure to include the daily Tier 1 and 2 Meetings. Use these meetings to address detractors to achieving key quality metrics.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a Quality function
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor position
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting engineered-to-order products
  • Lean Six Sigma certified
  • Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment

Position Criteria:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Eaton systems and tools, including: VISTA, Bid Manager, AS-400, SWIFT and DMM
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organizational and computer skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, develop employees and facilitate corrective action while fostering an environment that supports Eaton values & philosophy.
