Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Inspector II. This position is based out of our Tualatin, OR facility.

This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $25/hour

Position Overview:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the production quality of all products in accordance with quality requirements within Tualatin OR location. This includes quality inspection and analysis, troubleshooting and repairing RMA products, and final testing of finished goods.

In this function you will:

  • Perform quality audits, workmanship defect reduction efforts, corrective and preventive action identification, analysis and reporting, inspection of returned units, and special inspections.
  • Perform inspection support activities as required and maintain quality records.
  • Work closely with Engineering to assist with engineering change modification implementation. Incorporates Engineering change notices into assembly as instructed.
  • Tests electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance to Tualatin Quality standards and assists in making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality standards.
  • Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions
  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Manufaturing Experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Tualatin OR to be considered. No relocation Benefits provided.
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, and Outlook—basic uses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP
  • 1-3 Years manufacturing experience preferably in electronics/electrical manufacturing
  • IPC (Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits) Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification

Position Criteria:

  • Must be able to lift maximum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to learn web-based warranty and customer portals used for intake and disposition of claims
