Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Warehouse Materials Assistant. The hourly rate for this position is $18.65 - $27.97 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. HOURS: 10AM - 6:30PM.

What you’ll do:

  • Work as a team member to meet safety, quality and productivity goals and requirements. Maintaining work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping and 5S efforts, and complete daily tasks in compliance with standard work.
  • You will support a Zero Incident Safety Culture.
  • You will take daily inventory of production material and retrieve material from warehouses to replenish production stock. Load materials onto carts and deliver to appropriate areas/workstations. Reorder parts as needed.
  • Keep workstations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of product between different areas and removing excess material/waste as quickly as possible.
  • Keeps operations running efficiently.
  • Operate material handling equipment including stand up and sit-down forklifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Position Criteria:

  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate concerns appropriately.
  • Dependable, disciplined and must be able to work well in a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little guidance.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
  • You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
  • You will cross train and flex or stand in for warehouse personnel/job functions when necessary. Backup with picking/packaging customer parts orders, stocking, loading/unloading trucks, and shipping/receiving as directed by Supply Chain Supervisor.


Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Must have a High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year forklift experience
  • Obtain stand up and sit-down forklift certification.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Williamsburg, VA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
